Hot Pilates in Grand Rapids, MI: Pure Hot Yoga GR's Heated Studio
If you're searching for Hot Pilates in Grand Rapids, Pure Hot Yoga GR offers a heated, low-impact Pilates class designed to build core strength, improve posture, and sculpt the whole body — in the same 104°F room that makes our 26 & 2 hot yoga practice so effective. It's a different style of workout than our hot yoga classes, but it shares the same philosophy: real results, taught by people who care, in a room hot enough to make every minute count.
What Is Hot Pilates at Pure Hot Yoga GR?
Hot Pilates takes traditional, mat-based Pilates — the slow, controlled movements that target your core, glutes, and stabilizer muscles — and moves it into our heated studio. The heat increases blood flow and loosens muscles before you even start moving, which means deeper stretches, safer form, and a workout that keeps your heart rate up the entire class. Unlike our 26 & 2 sequence, Hot Pilates doesn't follow a fixed series of postures — instead, it's a structured strength and sculpting class that changes week to week, so no two classes feel exactly the same.
Why Grand Rapids Students Choose Hot Pilates Here
One studio, two disciplines done right. Most Pilates studios in Grand Rapids don't offer a true hot yoga practice, and most hot yoga studios don't offer real Pilates. Pure Hot Yoga GR gives you both under one roof at our Grand Rapids studio, taught with taught with the same attention to form and safety.
- A room that's actually hot. We keep the studio heated to 104°F, so your muscles are warm from the first minute — not halfway through class.
- Low-impact, high-result. Hot Pilates is easier on your joints than high-impact cardio, while still building visible core and muscle strength over time.
- Beginner-friendly and judgment-free. You don't need Pilates experience or yoga experience to start. Instructors cue every movement and offer modifications for every fitness level.
- Private showers and changing areas. Clean up before you head back to work or home — reviewers regularly call our showers some of the nicest they've used at a studio like this.
- Real, trackable progress. Students tell us about better posture, less low-back pain, stronger cores, and more energy within a few weeks of consistent classes.
What to Expect in Your First Hot Pilates Class
Pick a Hot Pilates time from
our current class schedule, then arrive about 15 minutes early to sign in, grab a mat, and get used to the heat. Class moves through a sequence of mat-based strength work — think controlled ab, glute, and stabilizer exercises — with short active-recovery breaks built in. Instructors give hands-on and verbal cues so you can feel which muscles should be working. You'll sweat more than you expect to for a "low-impact" class — that's the heat doing its job.

Hot Pilates vs. Hot Yoga: Which Should You Try First?
Both classes happen in the same heated room, but they build different things:
- Choose Hot Pilates if your priority is core strength, muscle sculpting, and posture, and you want a workout that still follows a repeatable structure without the yoga postures.
- Choose 26 & 2 Hot Yoga if you want the traditional, full-body sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, with a bigger focus on flexibility and mindful breathing alongside strength.
Many of our students do both — a Hot Pilates class for strength early in the week, and a full 26 & 2 session on the weekend. Read more about our 26 & 2 hot yoga classes to see how the two formats complement each other.
